Hand poured candles Inspired by love and purpose
Selecting natural aromas and blending them with soy wax, helped founder Sarah Herold cope with life after she was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. Taking her love for aromatherapy, love for all things Italian and love for candle making, she and co-founder Gina Spadola created s&hCo.
During this difficult time, taking a moment to focus on breathing and imagining a positive outcome was essential for healing. This is the inspiration that got them started and that launched the first two candles in the collection..immaginare and respirare. Imagine and breathe. Each candle that is added to the collection references a state of being, a feeling, an action.
Hand poured in small batches in NYC, all the candles are made of pure soy wax and blended only with phthalate free fragrances. Cotton wicks are used to create a clean and even burn. All packaging is sourced in the USA.
Specific ingredients and materials are chosen to create the candles and partnering with select vendors in an effort to be respectful to the environment is essential. Mindful and green ingredients are used in every batch. The candle wax is made of 100% soy wax which is biodegradable and a sustainable resource. The candles do not contain petrochemicals, dyes, phthalates, preservatives, or harmful metals. All containers can be recycled or reused once the candle burns down.
All components and ingredients are proudly made in the USA. Partnering with UPS,a courier that offers carbon neutral shipping, offsets the carbon footprint. None of the ingredients or finished products are ever tested on animals, nor do they contain animal by-products.
With over 20 years of combined experience in the beauty industry, both Sarah and Gina strive to create a product that is good for the environment and good for the consumer. The main objective of the line is to encourage positivity and a healthy lifestyle.
